Pm Modi will launch the Ujjwala 2.0 scheme. This scheme will be launched on Tuesday, 10 August 2021. The central government started the PM Ujjwala scheme in the year 2016.



New Delhi: PM Modi will launch the Ujjwala 2.0 scheme by handing over new LPG connections in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh through video conferencing on Tuesday, 10 August 2021. The central government started the PM Ujjwala scheme in the year 2016. At that time the government had set a target of giving free LPG gas connection to 5 crore BPL women of the country.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana-PMUY-2.0) will be launched on Tuesday. This time in this scheme the government will give free LPG connection as well as the filled cylinder for free. Along with this, you will get this connection in less paperwork.

You will not have to give proof of address. The
special thing is that this time you do not need to give ration card or any address proof to take advantage of this scheme, you just have to give self-declaration, through which you can avail this facility. Will get benefit.

Benefits of this scheme-
>> Beneficiaries will get free LPG connection under Ujjwala 2.0.
>> Along with this the first refill and hotplate will be provided free of cost.
>> Minimum paperwork will be required.
>> In Ujjwala 2.0, migrants will not need to submit ration card or residence certificate.

The announcement was made in the budget,
let us tell you that in the Union Budget in the fiscal year 2021-22, it was announced to expand the scheme to 1 crore new beneficiaries. It was said in the budget that the Ujjwala scheme will be expanded to cover more than 1 crore more beneficiaries.

Expansion of the scheme from village to village
Under Ujjwala Yojana 1.0, the government provided gas connections to about 5 crore women. Along with this, this scheme was taken from village to village, so that food does not have to be cooked on the stove. Later, in view of the success of this scheme, the government also revised the target to 8 crore LPG connections.
