The railway is carrying out remodeling work in the Ujjain yard, which has resulted in temporary changes to the operation of several trains. The railway administration has decided to cancel four trains, divert 52 trains, and short-terminate 12 trains. Therefore, passengers are advised to confirm their train status before traveling.
Timing and duration of remodeling
This remodeling and non-interlocking work at the Ujjain railway yard is scheduled to take place from October 11th to 15th. This work, which will last approximately five days, has affected train operations on both the up and down tracks. Passengers should note that some trains will be cancelled and some will only run with short terminations during this period.
Cancelled trains
The Railways has decided to cancel four major trains. These include:
• 19341 Nagda-Bina Express (October 11-15)
• 19342 Bina-Nagda Express (October 12-16)
• 69214 Indore-Ujjain Passenger (October 11-15)
• 69213 Ujjain-Indore Passenger (October 11-15)
Short terminated/originated trains
Additionally, 12 trains have been short-terminated or will run only on certain sections. For example, train number 69211 Ujjain-Indore Passenger will run only as far as Fatehabad Chandravatiganj. Similarly, train number 69212 Indore-Ujjain Passenger will be short-terminated at Fatehabad Chandravatiganj. Other trains will also run only on certain sections to allow for smooth completion of the remodeling work.
Purpose of Remodeling
This work in the Ujjain yard is being carried out to modernize the station and facilitate future train movement. Connecting platforms 7 and 8 is part of this plan. This will improve train movement and reduce delays.
New state-of-the-art control tower
The Railways has also constructed a new control tower behind platform number 8. Compared to the previous tower, it features modern technology, improved signaling systems, and connectivity to all platforms. This new facility will ensure more efficient and safe train operations in the future.

Ratlam division public relations officer Khemraj Meena stated that some trains will be cancelled or short-terminated from October 11 to 15 due to blockages and non-interlocking work. Passengers are advised to check their train status on the NTES app, the railway website, or helpline to avoid any inconvenience during their travel.
