Bangalore Traffic Police (BTP) has given a special opportunity to people to pay old traffic challans. From 23 August to 12 September, there will be a 50% discount on all pending challans.
That is, vehicle owners can clear their challans by paying only half the fine. With this, people will be able to pay the dues easily and will also be able to avoid legal troubles. The police hope that more and more people will pay the fine with this offer. Earlier also, the police had collected crores of rupees in such a scheme and people had given a good response.
Why was this discount scheme started ?
According to the traffic police, last time such a discount campaign gave excellent results. A similar discount was given in 2023, during which the police recovered ₹5.6 crore and more than 2 lakh challans were cleared. The police believe that due to the discount, people easily come forward to pay the pending challan, which not only increases the revenue but also gives relief to the citizens from legal action.

People can easily submit their challan through multiple methods.
Pay fines with Karnataka State Police (KSP) app.
Pay through the BTP ASTraM App.
Go to the nearest traffic police station and pay the challan by giving the vehicle number.
Make payment directly at the Traffic Management Centre.
Pay online by checking details on Karnataka One or Bangalore One website.
