Toll Increase: The journey from Hapur in UP to Delhi has become expensive now. Toll has been increased on NH-9 from Friday midnight. Those going from Noida, Delhi and Ghaziabad side will have to pay more.

Traveling on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway has become expensive. Toll has been increased on National Highway-9 from 12 o’clock on Friday night. This increase has been done after the completion of the Chipiyana Railway Over Bridge (ROB). Now vehicles going from Noida, Delhi and Ghaziabad side will have to pay more tax at Chhijarsi toll plaza located in Pilkhuwa. NHAI has fixed rates for this. Every day 40 thousand vehicles pass through this toll. NHAI officer Puneet Khanna said that the increased toll rates have been implemented from Friday night.

The work of railway overbridge near Chipiyana was going on for the last two years. The construction work was being done on the lane of National Highway-9. Due to this, less toll was being charged from the vehicles going from Noida, Delhi-Ghaziabad towards Hapur. Now the work of railway over bridge has been completed. In such a situation, the toll collection has been increased. Drivers going towards Rampur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow will now have to pay more toll at Chhijarsi toll plaza.

A pass within a radius of 20 km will be made for Rs 315

Drivers living within a radius of 20 km from Chhijarsi toll will be made a pass for Rs 315. Earlier this pass was made for around Rs 275.

Such increased rates

  • Cars, jeep and van riders coming from Delhi and Ghaziabad had to pay 140 rupees on one side. Now you have to pay Rs 155. Toll will have to be paid Rs 235 on both sides. Earlier used to give Rs 210.
  • Monthly pass will be made for Rs 5195. Earlier the pass was made for Rs 4715.
  • Light commercial mini bus will have to pay Rs 250. A toll of Rs 375 will be charged on return within 24 hours. Monthly pass will be made for Rs 8390.
  • The toll for the bus and truck has been increased to Rs 525. On return within 24 hours, a toll of Rs 790 will have to be paid. Monthly pass will be made for Rs 17,575.
  • The toll is Rs 575 for a three axle commercial vehicle. If you return within 24 hours, you will have to pay a toll of Rs 865. The monthly pass will be made for Rs 19,175.
  • Heavy vehicles and machinery will have to pay a toll of Rs 825. If you return within 24 hours, a toll of Rs 1240 will be charged. The monthly pass will be made for Rs 27,565.
  • Seven or more axle vehicles will have to pay a toll of Rs 1005. The toll rate has been fixed at Rs 1510 for return within 24 hours. Monthly pass will be made in 33,555.
