The superfast train is going to run from Chandigarh to New Delhi in 3 hours

Indian Railways has started running the Tejas train again. After Delhi-Lucknow, now the Tejas Express will run between Chandigarh and New Delhi from 1 November.

Indian Railways has started running the Tejas train again. After Delhi-Lucknow, now Tejas Express will run from Chandigarh to New Delhi from 1st November. This train will run every day except Wednesday. Its number 22425 is New Delhi-Chandigarh Tejas Express. The train will leave from New Delhi railway station at 9.40 am on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This train will reach Chandigarh railway station at 12.40 pm.




Please tell that IRCTC has started running Tejas trains between Lucknow-New Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai earlier. It was discontinued due to coronavirus. On the second route, this train has been started running again from 17th October, 2020.

According to IRCTC, it has been decided to run these trains in view of the demand of passengers in the festivals. These trains were canceled from 19 March 2020. Before traveling in these trains, passengers have to follow the health protocol of the government.

Keeping in mind the social distancing, the seat between two passengers in Tejas Express will be kept empty. The passenger who will be allotted seat will have to sit on the same seat. No change of seat will be allowed. Staff and passengers will have to use face masks or face covers in the train. All passengers must have the Arogya Setu app in their phone. Passengers will be informed about the rules while booking tickets.

Passengers will get health protection kit in the train

It will have sanitizer, mask, face shield and gloves

All passengers will be able to board the train only after thermal scanning

Passengers must sanitize their hands before entry into the train

Trains, pantry cars and toilets will be sanitized in the train

Passenger luggage will also be sanitized

Extra staff have been employed for this

All such places where travelers touch will be sanitize

Service trays and trolleys will also be sanitized

The Tejas Express running between Lucknow to New Delhi is according to earlier timings.

The Tejas Express between Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad is running 6 days a week except Thursday. This train will run from Mumbai Central from October 17 at 3.35 pm. The same day this train will reach Ahmedabad at 9.55 pm. This train has now been given stoppage at Andheri station too.
