How was the celebration of Teachers’ Day started?



Once a group of students sought permission from former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan to celebrate his birthday. Who was Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan?
Dr. Radhakrishnan was born into a middle class family. It is believed that Radhakrishna’s father wanted his son not to learn English and become a priest of the temple. Dr. Radhakrishnan was his father’s second child. He had four brothers and one younger sister, the income of this family of eight members, including six sisters-brothers and two parents, was very low. India’s first Vice President and Second President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan had to face many difficulties in his childhood. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s early life was spent in religious places like Tirutani and Tirupati. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a great scholar of Indian culture, a great educationist, a great philosopher, a great orator as well as a scientist Hindu thinker. Radhakrishnan spent 40 years of his life as a teacher.
