TCS Latest Update: Tata Consultancy Services: TCS has sent its reply to the Chief Labor Commissioner (CLC) via email. The company says that the company is committed to hiring professionals after job offers.

Tata Consultancy Services: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has assured the Ministry of Labor that even though there is a delay in onboarding after the job offers sent by the company to the professionals, the company is fully committed to their hiring. After the complaint of the technical employees’ union Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), the Labor Ministry had sought clarification from TCS and the company has sent its reply to the Chief Labor Commissioner (CLC) via email, in which the reason for the delay in the appointment of new employees has been stated to be the postponement of client projects.

Not getting a job even after the offer letter

In fact, recently many IT professionals have complained that they have received a job offer from the company months ago, but the hiring has not been done yet. Many of them have resigned from their previous company, some have also completed the notice period. In such a situation, they are facing many problems due to the delay in onboarding. In such a situation, the group of employees had demanded the intervention of Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in this.

TCS gave clarification to the ministry

The complaint sent to the Ministry of Labor spoke of delay in about 600 lateral appointments and concerns were also raised about the company’s plan to lay off 12,000 employees in the coming months. In its response, TCS blamed the market conditions amid the current global challenges for the delay and said that hiring in the IT industry is delayed especially when work related to projects is affected. The company said that the company’s orders have decreased due to weak demand due to global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
