Air India Express has announced discounts of up to 50% for defense and paramilitary personnel on the occasion of Air Force Day. This offer is valid only for bookings made on October 8, 2025, and travel can be done through May 3, 2026.
On the occasion of Air Force Day, Air India Express has announced a special offer in honour of the brave soldiers of the country. The airline has said that defence, paramilitary forces and their families will be given up to 50% discount on domestic flights on bookings made on 8 October 2025. This offer will be valid for travel till 3 May 2026. This offer will be available only on bookings made on Air India Express website ( airindiaexpress.com ) or its iOS and Android apps. The airline said with this announcement that this offer is an effort to honour the courage, dedication and sacrifice of the armed forces of the country.
Who will get this special offer?
This discount will be offered to serving or retired defense and paramilitary personnel, as well as their dependents (family members). This initiative by Air India Express will provide affordable travel opportunities to the nation’s soldiers and their families, enabling them to easily visit their loved ones or enjoy holidays.
How much discount and till where is it applicable?
This offer offers up to 50% off on domestic flights. This discount is applicable across the airline’s entire domestic network, which connects 43 cities.
These include several cities with Air Force Stations, such as Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gwalior, Guwahati, Hindon, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kannur, Pune, Port Blair, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram. The network also connects the country’s Army Commands (Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune) and Navy Commands (Mumbai, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, and Port Blair).
Priority boarding will be available throughout the year
Air India Express has extended another special perk for defense personnel. The airline has announced that all members of the country’s armed forces and their families will be able to enjoy complimentary priority boarding throughout the year. This benefit will be valid on all Air India Express domestic flights and will be available at no additional charge.
Offers for students and senior citizens too
Air India Express said it offers special fare discounts and other benefits throughout the year not only to defense personnel but also to students, senior citizens, and dependents of the armed forces. The aim is to make air travel accessible to as many passengers as possible.
First major airline to fly from Hindon Airport
Air India Express was the first major airline in the country to launch civil flights from Hindon Airport (Ghaziabad). The airline currently operates over 60 flights from Hindon to nine domestic destinations, including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi. Additionally, from Delhi (IGI), the airline operates over 400 weekly flights to 24 domestic destinations.
Where are the flights from Delhi?
Air India Express directly connects Delhi to the following major cities: Amritsar, Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Guwahati, Imphal, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, North Goa, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Srinagar, Port Blair, Surat, Udaipur and Varanasi. The airline also directly connects Delhi to two international routes: Muscat and Sharjah. Effective October 26, 2025, all domestic flights will operate from Delhi’s Terminal 1 (T1) and international flights from Terminal 3 (T3).
Preparing for network expansion
The airline recently added Jodhpur and Udaipur to its network, bringing its network to 60 destinations. It will soon begin operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport.
