The Election Commission of India (ECI) is streamlining the voter verification process through the digital Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. The new system aims to reduce paperwork and enhance security by requiring every elector to submit their own details through a secure, identity-verified workflow.
Here is the complete step-by-step guide on how to complete the SIR Enumeration Form Online via the Voters’ Service Portal.
💻 Mandatory Requirements Before You Start
The online SIR process is secure and requires mandatory identity verification. Ensure you meet these two crucial criteria:
Aadhaar e-Sign Match: The name on your EPIC (Elector’s Photo Identity Card) must exactly match the name associated with your Aadhaar e-sign tool.
Active Mobile Number: The mobile number linked to your EPIC must be active for OTP verification. If your mobile number is not linked, you must first update it by submitting Form 8.
✅ Step-by-Step Guide to Filling the SIR Enumeration Form Online
The entire process must be completed by the elector for themself, as it requires Aadhaar-based e-sign for final submission.
Phase 1: Login and Access
Go to the Portal: Navigate to the Voters’ Service Portal at voters.eci.gov.in.
Select Form: Log in and select the “Fill Enumeration Form” option.
Enter Details: Choose your state and enter your EPIC (2025) number.
OTP Verification: The portal will auto-fetch your details. An OTP will be sent to your linked mobile number to complete the login stage.
Phase 2: Verification and Data Entry
Select SIR Category: You must choose one of three categories to proceed:
Whether your name existed in the previous SIR roll.
Whether your parents’ names appeared in the previous SIR roll.
Whether neither of the above appeared.
Data Display/Entry: Based on your selection, the portal will either display your previous SIR details or prompt you to provide relative information for verification.
Review: The online system will generate a preview of the filled enumeration form, allowing you to carefully review all your entries for accuracy.
Phase 3: Final Submission
Declaration: Confirm the accuracy of all information submitted via a final declaration.
Aadhaar Verification: Complete the final Aadhaar verification step.
E-Sign Submission: The online form is only permitted to be submitted through the mandatory Aadhaar e-sign.
⚠️ Important Warning: If your identity details (especially your name) do not match the Aadhaar e-sign system, you will not be able to complete the submission online. In this scenario, you must complete the process through your Booth Level Officer (BLO).
