Domestic airline SpiceJet on Monday announced it will launch special daily non-stop flights to Ayodhya from Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. The airline said these flights will begin in a phased manner from October 8th, in time for Diwali. Flights from Mumbai are also being considered to further improve connectivity during the upcoming festive and winter season, PTI reported. This initiative will come as a major relief to lakhs of devotees who want to reach Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of Diwali to visit the Shri Ram temple.
What is the planning ahead?
Speaking on the occasion, SpiceJet Chief Business Officer Debojo Maharishi said, “There’s no better time than Diwali to visit Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. Our daily flights from major metros will make travelling to Ayodhya during Diwali simple and affordable, allowing travellers to enjoy this holy festival in its most divine land,” according to ANI.

Direct flights to Phuket, Thailand
In addition to religious destinations, SpiceJet has also expanded its international network. Indian travelers will now be able to directly enjoy the beautiful beaches and culture of Phuket, Thailand’s most popular island. This is SpiceJet’s second destination in Thailand; it previously operated flights to Bangkok.
