Sleeper Vande Bharat: Good news for passengers! Sleeper Vande Bharat will run on this route, check route, fare and timing

Sleeper Vande Bharat: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inaugurated the Vande Bharat Sleeper in September 2024. Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cover a distance of 1449 km from Delhi to Howrah.

Indian Railways: Indian Railways is continuously working on the facilities of the passengers. For the last several days, efforts have been going on regarding Vande Bharat Sleeper. But till now it has not been started on any route. Now the Railways is preparing to start Vande Bharat Sleeper soon. This train will run on many important routes like Delhi and Howrah. This will be the third premium train on the Delhi-Howrah route. Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express are already running on this route. No official information has been revealed about its date yet.

Maximum speed of the train is 160 kmph

Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been built using the technology of BEML and Integral Coach Factory. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inaugurated this train in September 2024. Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cover a distance of 1449 km from Delhi to Howrah. This journey will be completed in less than 15 hours through this train. The maximum speed of the train will be 160 kmph. This speed will make it faster than Rajdhani and Duronto Express. In this way it will be the fastest train on this route. Currently, Rajdhani takes 17 hours and Duronto takes 17.40 hours to cover this journey.

Stoppages of Delhi-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper

According to the news published in TOI, Vande Bharat Sleeper will stop at many major stations between New Delhi and Howrah. These include Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, DD Upadhyay Junction, Gaya Junction, Dhanbad Junction and Asansol Junction. These stops will be convenient for the passengers.

Vande Bharat Delhi-Howrah Fare

Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have 16 coaches. It will have 11 AC 3-tier coaches, 4 AC 2-tier coaches and one first class AC coach. Talking about the fare, the fare of AC 3-tier is expected to be around Rs 3000, AC 2-tier fare is Rs 4000 and first class AC fare is Rs 5100. This fare will give the passengers a comfortable and fast travel experience.

Train timing

Vande Bharat Sleeper train will leave from New Delhi (NDLS) at 5 pm (17:00 hrs) and reach Howrah Junction at 8 am the next day. On the return, this train will leave from Howrah Junction at 5 pm and reach New Delhi at 8 am the next day. The timing is convenient for the passengers as the journey will be at night and they will reach the destination in the morning.

Fares of Rajdhani and Duronto

Currently, the fare for travelling from Delhi to Howrah by Rajdhani is Rs 3020 for AC 3-tier, Rs 4140 for AC 2-tier and Rs 5155 for first class AC coach. But if we look at Duronto, the fare for AC 3-tier is Rs 3135, for AC 2-tier it is Rs 4265 and for first AC it is Rs 5315.
