School timings changed- Haryana Education Department has decided to change the timings of schools in view of the increasing cold. A new schedule has been issued for double shift schools, in which the second shift will open on new timings from October 15.
This new timing will be implemented for other schools from November 15. The aim of this change is to provide a better environment for children during the cold weather.
New timings for double shift schools
As per the orders of the Education Department, the timings for children studying in the second shift in double shift schools will now be from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm. The timings for students in the first shift are currently the same, but this too will be changed from November 15. This decision was taken in view of the demand of parents of young children to change the timings so that children can avoid the morning cold.
From November 15, all single-shift schools in Haryana will open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The first shift in double-shift schools will run from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm. These new timings will be adjusted to accommodate transportation and mid-day meal distribution in all schools. Principals have been directed to fully inform parents and students about the changes in timings to avoid any inconvenience.
