School Holiday 2025: Apart from Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays, schools may remain closed in states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand on Guru Purnima.
School Holiday 2025: The month of July has started and schools have opened in almost all the states, but apart from Sundays, students are going to get the benefit of some holidays in this month due to festivals. However, the situation is not clear regarding Muharram because this date will be decided on the sighting of the moon.
If Muharram falls on July 6 (Sunday), then there will be no separate holiday. But if it falls on July 7 (Monday), then there will be a holiday. Schools may remain closed in states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand on Guru Purnima. Please note that this is not a national holiday, schools decide on a holiday at their own level. Monsoon break may start from July 20 in some areas of Himachal Pradesh.
