School Closed: The summer season has arrived, and along with it the summer holidays that will give relief to the students! With the arrival of the month of May, schools in many states have closed, and now the students will feel some relief from their study burden. This year is even more special for the students as the summer holidays have come with some different changes in different states.
School Closed: From Delhi to Himachal Pradesh, students are now ready to enjoy long holidays. Schools have already closed in many states, while in some states the holidays will start soon. Let us know when the school holidays are starting in 2025 and how long will they last.
When will schools be closed?
Madhya Pradesh: School students in the state can enjoy holidays from May 1 to June 15.
Chhattisgarh: Here too the schools will remain closed from May 1 to June 15.
Delhi: Summer holidays in Delhi have started from May 11 and will continue till June 30.
Tamil Nadu: In Tamil Nadu, holidays for classes 1 to 12 will be till June 1.
Jharkhand: Holidays in Jharkhand schools will be from May 22 to June 4.
Himachal Pradesh: This time summer holidays in Himachal Pradesh will start from July 12 and will last for 32 days till August 12. In some districts like Nalagarh, Fatehpur, Nagarota Surian etc., schools will remain closed from June 1 to 30.
Important days when schools will be closed
There are also some special days in May when schools will be closed:
- May 12 – Buddha Purnima
- May 18 – Sunday
- May 24 – Kazi Najrul Islam Jayanti
- May 25 – Sunday
- May 30 – Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji
Apart from this, the dates of these holidays may vary from state to state. So if your school calendar is a little different, don’t panic!
Additional holidays:
Uttar Pradesh: Here schools will also be closed on Buddha Purnima (May 12).
