New Delhi: It is raining heavily in many states of the country at this time. Due to which the water level of many rivers and streams has increased. On the other hand, due to the rain in Punjab for the last few days, life has been disrupted.
Flood situation has arisen in the rivers of many districts. Looking at the situation, the Punjab government has decided to close all government, aided, recognized and private schools.
According to the information, it has been decided to close all the schools in Punjab till 3 September 2025. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann himself has given this information through social media. In which he said that ‘As per the instructions of the Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, keeping in mind the flood situation in Punjab, holiday is being declared in all government/aided/recognized and private schools of the state till 3 September 2025.’ During this, the administration has appealed to the parents and students to give priority to safety and follow the instructions given by the administration.
Many schools were filled with several feet of water
Recently, several feet of water was seen in many schools of flood affected areas. Due to flood water, a lot of mud was filled inside the schools. In view of the flood situation, the PM had closed the schools till 31st August. Due to the flood, schools in many areas are still filled with water. After this, the people and parents who were facing the brunt of the flood were demanding from the CM to extend the holidays in the coming days, so that the children can get a clean environment in the schools.
