School Closed: All schools in the district will remain closed on August 26 and 27 due to heavy rains.

Hoshiarpur: District Magistrate Ashika Jain has announced holidays in all government and private schools in the district on 26.08.2025 and 27.08.2025 (Tuesday and Wednesday).

District Magistrate Ashika Jain said that for the last few days, heavy rains have been falling across Punjab including the district and the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in the coming days as well. Due to continuous rains, many roads leading to schools are waterlogged, due to which teachers, staff and students are facing difficulty in commuting to and from school.

The District Magistrate said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of students and staff. The District Education Officer (Secondary Education/Elementary Education) Hoshiarpur has been directed to implement this order.
