SBI Never Calls from Random Numbers: Here’s the Official List

The country ‘s largest government bank – SBI has issued a very important and crucial information for its customers. SBI (State Bank of India) has issued this important information in view of the rapidly increasing cases of cyber fraud in the country, so that customers can remain alert and safe against cyber fraud.

State Bank of India informed that their contact centers call customers only from two series of numbers. If you are a customer of State Bank of India i.e. SBI, then this news is very important for you.

SBI calls only from these numbers

State Bank of India has posted a post on its official X account. SBI has written in this post that their contact center calls only from numbers starting with 1600 and 140. If you get a call whose number starts with 1600 or 140, understand that it is coming from SBI’s official contact center. If you get a call from any other number other than these two numbers and the caller claims to be an officer or employee of SBI, then you have to be very careful.

If you are a victim of cyber crime, call 1930

State Bank of India said that their 10 digit numbers start with 1600 XX XXXX and 140 XXX XXXX. If you receive a call from any other number in the name of SBI, then you have to be cautious. Keep in mind that you should not share any confidential information related to your bank account such as OTP, bank account number, PAN number, password, ATM card number, ATM card PIN. Along with this, you should not click on any unknown link. If you become a victim of any kind of cyber crime, then without delay call 1930 and register a complaint.
