SBI Card and IndiGo have jointly launched a co-branded card. This card is aimed at those who travel frequently by air. Users will receive “IndiGo Blue Chips” for every transaction made using this card. These can be used to redeem IndiGo flight tickets, flight seats, and meals. IndiGo is the country’s largest airline, while SBI Card is India’s second-largest card issuer.

Facility of UPI payments through RuPay card

This card has two variants: the IndiGo SBI Card and the Indigo SBI Card ELITE . This card offers a dual network setup. This means that users receive two cards under a single account. The first is a RuPay Card and the second is a Mastercard. This allows users to easily make transactions within the country and abroad. The RuPay card also supports UPI payments.

Indigo Bluechips for every Rs 100 transaction

Indigo BluChips are a key feature of this card. For every ₹100 spent on IndiGo’s website and mobile app, users receive 7 Indigo BlueChips. For every ₹100 spent on hotel and travel bookings through other platforms, users receive 3 Indigo BlueChips. For annual spends of ₹1.2 million, users receive an additional 25,000 Indigo BlueChip vouchers. This card will prove beneficial for those who travel frequently by air.

IndiGo Bluechips offer more benefits if you book your tickets early.

Sumant Mandal, founder of TechnoFino, a platform that reviews debit and credit cards, said the redemption value of IndiGo blue chips ranges from ₹0.40 to ₹0.60. He added that booking flight tickets in advance provides better value for blue chips, as redemption rates can vary depending on demand and availability.

3.75% interest per month on outstanding balance

The Indigo SBI card’s joining fee is ₹1,499 (excluding GST). The card’s annual renewal fee is the same. The Indigo SBI Credit Card Elite’s joining fee is ₹4,999 (excluding GST). The renewal fee is the same, plus GST. If you have an outstanding balance on your card, you’ll earn 3.75% interest per month, resulting in an annual interest rate of 45%.

Free access to airport lounges

IndiGo SBI Credit Card users get coverage of Rs 3,000 per ticket for up to four flight cancellations. Loss of checked baggage is covered up to Rs 72,000. These features are very useful during emergencies. Both cards provide access to airport lounges. There are no annual renewal charges based on the spending limit. However, users receive Blue Chips equal to the fees paid. 2,500 Blue Chips are available on the IndiGo SBI Card and 5,000 Blue Chips are available on the IndiGo SBI Card Elite.
