The Haryana government has provided significant relief to thousands of daily and part-time workers in the state. The government has finally delivered good news to these workers, who have been demanding a pay hike for a long time.

The state government announced on Monday that the salaries of part-time and daily wage workers will be increased from January 2026. This decision will apply to temporary and daily wage employees working in all government departments, boards, corporations, and public sector units in the state.

According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, this revised pay structure will be effective from January 1, 2026. It is reported that this decision has been taken in view of the demand for a salary hike for employees from several departments and organizations.

Districts divided into three categories

The Haryana government has divided the districts of the state into three parts – Category-I, Category-II and Category-III, so that the employees in each area can be given proper salary according to the level of development and inflation there.

  • Level-1 employees in Category-I districts will now be paid ₹19,900 per month (₹765 per day or ₹96 per hour). Level-2 employees will receive ₹23,400 and Level-3 employees will receive ₹24,100 per month.
  • In Category-II districts, the monthly salary of Level-1 employees has been fixed at Rs 17,550, Level-2 at Rs 19,800 and Level-3 at Rs 21,700.
  • In Category-III districts, Level-1 employees will get Rs 16,250; Level-2 Rs 18,350 and Level-3 Rs 20,450 per month.

Money will increase in the pockets of laborers

The government says this decision is a major step toward bringing equality and transparency to the state. This change will improve the standard of living of employees and reduce the impact of rising inflation. The government believes the new wages will provide financial relief to workers, enabling them to work with greater diligence and enthusiasm.
