Following a Supreme Court order, the central government has initiated the process of refunding investors. To facilitate this process, the government has launched a fully online claims portal on the official website of the CRCS (Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies), https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/depositor/. This will eliminate the need for investors to travel anywhere or visit an agent.
To claim a refund, investors must first register on the CRCS portal. Registration requires entering their Aadhaar number, mobile number, and a captcha code. The OTP sent to their mobile number must then be verified. If the investor does not have an Aadhaar linked account, they must first link it. Upon completing the registration, select the depositor login option, enter the last four digits of their Aadhaar number, mobile number, and captcha code, and then verify the OTP. Next, select the society name and enter the deposit amount, passbook, and certificate number in the claim form. If the investor has invested in four societies, a single form can be filled for all.
The CRCS Refund Portal is a government initiative aimed at providing depositors with a seamless and transparent refund of their deposits. Thousands of investors have received their money back so far, and the government is expediting the process.
