From December 1, 2025, to January 2, 2026, several trains operating to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Indore, Udaipur, and Amritsar are being temporarily added, including general, sleeper, third AC, first-cum-second AC, and chair car classes.
New Delhi. The North Western Railway has announced a gift to passengers in view of the December holidays, weddings, and New Year. From December 1, 2025, to January 2, 2026, several trains traveling to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Indore, Udaipur, and Amritsar will temporarily add additional coaches. These include general, sleeper, third AC, first-cum-second AC, and chair car classes. This will provide relief to those traveling for weddings.
Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of the North Western Railway, said that the biggest beneficiaries will be those passengers who take long-distance trains from Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Sriganganagar, Hisar, Bhiwani, the main trains in which coaches have been added.
22471/72 Lalgarh-Delhi Sarai Vande Bharat will have 2 ordinary coaches from December 1-15, 20473/74 Delhi Sarai-Udaipur City will have 2 ordinary coaches from December 1-16, 14707/08 Hanumangarh-Dadar will have 1 third AC coach throughout December, 12991/92 Udaipur-Jaipur Intercity will have 2 chair cars and 1 ordinary coach throughout December, 22977/78 Jaipur-Jodhpur will have 1 first-cum-second AC coach and 1 third AC coach throughout December, 12065/66 Ajmer-Delhi Jan Shatabdi will have 2 AC chair cars and 1 second chair car coach throughout December, 14807/08 Jodhpur-Dadar and 20483/84 Bhagat Ki Kothi-Dadar will have 3 third AC coaches and 2 sleeper coaches, 22473/74 Bikaner-Bandra Terminus will have 1 third AC coach and 1 sleeper coach in December. 1 Sleeper and 3 Ordinary coaches have been added to 12465/66 Ranthambore Express (Indore-Jodhpur) and 1 First-cum-Second AC coach has been added to 12988/87 Ajmer-Sealdah throughout December.
Additionally, three A43 and sleeper coaches have been added to the three Jodhpur-Varanasi trains, the Bikaner-Haridwar, the Sriganganagar-Puri, the Ajmer-Bandra Special, and the Hisar-Tirupati Special. Local trains have also received relief. Three to five ordinary coaches have been added to the Rewari-Phulera, Jaipur-Rewari, Bhiwani-Kalka, Sriganganagar-Bathinda, and Jaipur-Bathinda trains. The railways say these coaches will be deployed from December 1st until the New Year. Those with waiting tickets can now expect confirmation.
