Realme C85 5G was launched in India on Friday. The smartphone is priced at less than Rs 15,000. The new phone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor will be available on Flipkart from December 1. The three major attractions of Realme C85 5G are 144 Hz Ultra Bright display, IP69 Pro level water and dust resistance, and a powerful 7,000mAh battery. Apart from this, the phone has a 50-megapixel Sony AI camera, SGS military grade durability, AI Edit Genie, 18 GB dynamic RAM, and a bunch of interesting features including notification light, bypass charging. The Realme C85 5G comes with a 6.8-inch LCD display that supports HD+ resolution (720×1,570 pixels), 144 Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits peak brightness, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and 16.7 million colors. For taking photos and videos, the device has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary camera on the back with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF.
The phone has an 8-megapixel (f/2.0 aperture) selfie camera on the front. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080P videos at 30 FPS. It supports cinematic video shooting. The front camera supports multi-view video recording.
Realme C85 5G processor and battery
Realme’s new phone uses the Dimensity 6300 processor, which is paired with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of onboard storage. The phone supports 18 GB of virtual RAM (6 GB + 12 GB). It has a 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The battery will provide 1.5 hours of backup in just 5 minutes of charge.
The company claims that even with 1 percent charge, it will offer 9 hours of standby time and 40 minutes of calling time. In addition, a full charge will offer 22 hours of video playback, 50 hours of calling time, and 145 hours of music playback. Again, the phone can be used as a power bank due to the 6.5W reverse charging support. Small electronic gadgets like smartwatches or earbuds can be charged with the phone itself.

Realme C85 5G has a 5,300 square millimeter Vapor Chamber (VC) cooling system to control the temperature. The phone is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K certified. This provides the highest level of protection against water and dust. Realme claims that pouring hot coffee or cold cola on the phone will not harm it. The phone runs on Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 custom software.

The Realme C85 5G is priced at Rs 15,499 in India. The base model has 4GB RAM + 128GB onboard storage. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 16,999. The company is offering a coupon discount of Rs 500 with the phone. As a result, the prices of the two models will come down to Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,499 respectively. The handset will be available in Parrot Purple and Peacock Green color options.
