Jaipur: There are several political reasons for Sachin Pilot and his supporters to return to Congress after a 32-day political struggle. The biggest reason is the Gujjar vote bank and the second reason is the pressure of his father-in-law Farooq Abdullah family and the third reason is the pressure on the Congress’ youth brigade to keep Sachin Pilot in the party. Keeping these reasons in mind for the return of Pilot, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra played the main role in Sachin Pilot’s return in terms of the need and strategy of the Congress.
Apart from Rajasthan, Gurjar vote banks play a decisive role in many seats in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. CM Ashok Gehlot did not want the return of Sachin Pilot. He made every effort to stop the pilots’ return, but the Congress needs Sachin Pilot not just in Rajasthan but also in other states. The Congress needs the Sachin Pilot Congress for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections to be held in 2022. Gujjar voters play a decisive role in Uttar Pradesh’s 55 assembly and 12 Lok Sabha seats. With 30 assembly seats in 5 districts of Rajasthan, only 5 Lok Sabha seats are won by Gurjar voters.

Gurjar vote bank was the major reason for Congress coming to power in the 2018 Rajasthan assembly elections. While being the President of the State Congress Committee, Sachin Pilot was considered as the future Chief Minister by the Gurjar Samaj and gave 20 assembly seats to the Congress in East Rajasthan.
According to the information, there is a large number of Gurjar voters in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi too. The Congress has no other big Gurjar leader to counter the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Sachin Pilot Gurjar is a leader as well as a young and good speaker. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been engaged in strengthening the Congress in Uttar Pradesh for a long time. With Priyanka Gandhi, Sachin Pilot’s trusted Dheeraj Gurjar has been appointed as National Secretary.
Many factories worked for the return of the pilot
Due to Pilot’s split from Congress, the Congress was in danger of direct loss to the Gujjar-dominated seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022 and the Lok Sabha elections of 2024. Pilot has a hold over Gurjar society not only in Rajasthan but in other states.
Sachin Pilot and Congress well wishers explained this to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. A National Secretary of the Congress said that when Priyanka Gandhi Vadra saw these figures, he started working in the direction of the pilot a week ago. The second major reason behind the homecoming of Sachin Pilot is the Faruk Abdullah family. A national secretary working in Rajasthan said that Congress and Abdullah have been with the family in Kashmir politics.
The third major reason for the return of Sachin Pilot is young leaders like Milind Deora, Deepender Hooda and Bhanwar Jitendra Singh who acted as bridge. Attempts were also made by the leaders who stayed away from the mainstream while Ashok Gehlot’s organization general secretary to return the pilot.
