According to the North-West India
Meteorological Department’s warning, the monsoon will once again make its presence felt in North-West India on September 27, 28, 29 and 30. The warning has predicted heavy rainfall in several parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while light to moderate rainfall is also expected in others. Thunderstorms, strong winds and lightning are also expected during this period.
According to the East and Central India
Meteorological Department, the monsoon will once again register its presence in East and Central India from September 27-30. This is expected to cause heavy rainfall in many areas of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha. Light rainfall may also occur in some areas.
The Maharashtra government has appealed to the public to be alert, heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in many parts of the state for the next three days. A statement issued by the Maharashtra Revenue and Forest Department said that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Vidarbha between September 27 and 29. Orange and red alerts have been issued in some districts. In addition, all districts have been directed to take precautionary and preparedness measures through the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC). As per the advisory, heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur at many places in Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan between September 27 and 29. Very heavy rainfall is also possible at some places on September 28.
