Railway Alert: Railways has implemented a new rule for general ticket holders. Now if any passenger is found in reserved coaches with a general ticket, he will be directly deboarded from the train. This strict step of the Railways is for the convenience of the passengers…
Pali. If you also travel by buying a general ticket and sitting in a reserved compartment, then stop doing this now because doing so can spoil your journey. The Jodhpur division of North Western Railway has taken a strict attitude in this matter and will impose a fine on such passengers and will make them get off at the next station. The railway has become strict to remove such passengers, so now the TTE will impose a fine on you for doing so and will make you get off at the next station.
In such a case, passengers who are planning to travel from Pali railway station under Jodhpur railway division should be cautious because their trick of buying reserved tickets by paying money on the top will not work.
Follow this advice of the Railways
Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers traveling in reserved coaches of trains, the railway administration has issued an advisory for the passengers traveling without ticket or on irregular ticket and has advised them not to board the reserved coaches. Vikas Kheda, Senior DCM of Jodhpur division of North Western Railways, said that travelling without ticket or on irregular ticket in reserved AC and sleeper coaches of trains is not valid. Because the unauthorized entry of such passengers in these coaches causes many problems to the passengers holding already reserved tickets.
If you do this, you will be deboarded from the train.
As per the railway rules, the passenger who has a ticket for a particular class of the train will have to travel in the same class and if he does not do so, the passenger will be fined and deboarded at the next station. Apart from this, travelling without a ticket or with an irregular ticket even in the compartments marked for women and the disabled is also a legal offense.
A special campaign will be run regarding this.
In this regard, a joint campaign is run by RPF and especially the ticket checking staff to bring widespread awareness among passengers and to remove unwanted and general ticket holders from reserved coaches at the starting station of the train. More appropriate arrangements are being made to stop such travel.
