Public Holiday: Hyderabad District Magistrate Harichandana Dasari has declared a paid holiday for all offices and institutions in view of the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. This holiday has been declared on November 10, 11, and 14.

Holidays have already been granted on November 10 and 11 due to by-election work. Now, a holiday has also been granted for November 14, the day of the vote count.

The order states that this holiday will apply to offices and institutions where polling or counting centers have been set up. The purpose is to give employees the opportunity to participate in voting and strengthen the democratic process.

Paid leave granted

Collector Harichandana Dasari spoke to the English newspaper The Hindu. He explained that paid leave will apply to government schools and offices that are polling or counting centers in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. He stated that this leave is primarily for schools, as teachers will be on election duty and, in many places, voting will take place in these schools or offices. Furthermore, all government offices in the area have also been granted leave, as many of their employees are voters. These holidays were granted on November 10th, the day before the election, and on November 11th, the day of the election.

Orders were strictly followed

In a conversation, the Collector stated that bars around polling stations will remain closed, and food distribution or other such activities will not be permitted. His orders were followed. He added that the heads of departments and institutions where polling or counting centers have been set up have been instructed to strictly enforce the orders and take necessary steps.

Counting of votes on November 14

The Jubilee Hills by-election is a three-way contest, with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Congress, and the BJP facing off. Voting took place on November 11th, and the results will be declared on November 14th, along with the Bihar Assembly election results.
