This list includes days on which government offices, banks, and most educational institutions will be closed across the state. The calendar includes national holidays, special state holidays, and religious festivals of various communities. This will help people plan their year-round schedule.

National Holiday List 2026 : National Holidays Included

• Republic Day – 26 January

• Independence Day – 15th August

Gandhi Jayanti – October 2nd.

Government ceremonies, flag-hoisting ceremonies, cultural events, and all government offices will be closed. The first holiday of the year begins with Republic Day, which honors the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950. This day is celebrated with pride and patriotism throughout the country.

State and regional level festivals

• Ugadi – 19 March
• Basava Jayanti – 20 April
• Kanakadasa Jayanti – 27 November
