Public Holiday: Govt declares holiday on November 11 and 14 for schools, colleges and govt offices, know the reason

Public Holiday: Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari has declared a paid holiday for all offices and institutions in view of the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election so that the employees can participate in the voting.

According to the order issued, a paid holiday has been declared in all offices and institutions (where polling stations and counting centers have been set up) in view of the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. This holiday will be on November 10, a day before the voting, November 11, the day of voting and November 14, the day of counting. This order has been issued to enable the employees to participate in the voting.

Announcement of paid leave

Speaking to the English website The Hindu, Collector Harichandana Dasari stated that the paid holiday will apply to government schools and offices that will be used as polling stations or counting centers in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. He said that the holiday is primarily for schools, as teachers will be on election duty. Furthermore, voting will take place in school or office buildings. Furthermore, all government offices in the area have also been granted leave, as some of their employees are also voters.

Orders to strictly follow the orders

The Collector stated that bars around polling stations will remain closed, and food distribution or other such activities will not be permitted. Heads of departments and institutions where polling stations or counting centers have been set up have been instructed to strictly enforce the orders and take necessary steps.

Voting for Jubilee Hills by-election on November 11

The Jubilee Hills by-election is set to be a three-way contest. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Congress, and the BJP are facing off. Voting for the Jubilee Hills by-election will take place on November 11th, with the results declared on November 14th. The results for this seat will be announced alongside the Bihar Assembly elections. The Election Commission has completed all preparations and has appealed for a peaceful vote.
