Why do we celebrate the festival of Navratri?

The festival of Navratri holds a very special significance in Hinduism. It is celebrated in different states of the country with its own style and deep faith. In the year 2025, Sharadiya Navratri is starting from 22nd September. During this time, the idol or picture of Maa Durga is installed in homes and pandals and her nine different forms are worshiped for nine days.
