The Haryana government has declared a public holiday on 31 July as the Balidan Diwas of Shaheed Udham Singh. Government offices, schools-colleges and other institutions remain closed on this day. This holiday is observed to pay tribute to the martyrdom of brave revolutionary Udham Singh who avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. However, banks will not be closed tomorrow on 31 July. According to the RBI list, there is no holiday on 31 July.
