Post office scheme new rules: Big news! Now you can transfer money online in PPF, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana account, know new rule

The government had last year launched the Dakpay digital payment app which is used by post office and IPPB customers. Postpay provides digital financial and allied banking services offered by India Post and IPPB.


India Post Payments Bank Savings (IPPB) account holders of various post office schemes can easily transfer money to Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA), Recurring Deposits (RD), PPF (PPF). Premium for these plans and other functions can be done through IPPB mobile app. With IPPB one can easily check their balance, transfer money and do other financial transactions through IPPB for which they had to visit the post office earlier. To open these schemes one has to visit the post office after which these schemes can be managed online using IPPB account or mobile app.

Postpay provides digital financial and allied banking services offered by India Post and IPPB. It also facilitates services such as sending money, scanning QR codes and paying digitally for services and merchants. Investors can also use this app to make payments.

How to transfer money online in PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts

  • India Post Payments Bank Savings (IPPB) account holders can comfortably transfer money to Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA), Recurring Deposits (RD), PPF (PPF).
  • Add money from your bank account to your IPPB account.
    Go to DOP Services.
  • From there you can choose Recurring Deposits, PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi Account, Loan Against Recurring Deposits.
  • If you want to deposit money in your PPF account, click on Provident Fund.
  • Enter your PPF account number and DOP customer ID.
  • Mention the amount you want to deposit and click on ‘Pay’ option.
  • IPPB will then notify you for the successful payment transfer done through IPPB mobile application.
  • You can opt for various post office investment options offered by India Post and make regular payments through IPPB Basic Savings Account.
  • Funds can be transferred from other bank accounts to IPPB using the app.

How to Transfer Funds to Sukanya Samriddhi Account through IPPB:

  • Add money from your bank account to IPPB account.
  • Go to DOP Products. Select Sukanya Samriddhi Account.
  • Enter your SSY Account Number and then DOP Customer ID.
  • Select the installment tenure and amount.
  • IPPB will then notify you for the payment transfer done through the IPPB mobile application.
