PM Kisan 20th Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi can announce the 20th installment of PM-KISAN scheme during his visit to Motihari, Bihar on July 18. Under this scheme, the next installment of ₹ 2,000 will be sent directly to the account of eligible farmers. However, farmers who have not fulfilled the rules set by the government may be deprived of the benefits of the 20th installment. Know what things farmers need to keep in mind to get the benefit of the 20th installment.

What is PM-KISAN Yojana?

This is a scheme of the Central Government in which eligible farmers are given ₹ 6,000 annually in three installments. This money comes directly into the account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). So far more than 11 crore farmers have registered in it.

When can the 20th installment come?

According to reports, the Prime Minister can announce this in Motihari on July 18. Farmers are expected to get an installment of ₹ 2,000. This will be the 20th installment of the scheme.

Who will get the money?

Only those farmers will be entitled to payment whose e-KYC is complete and bank account is linked to Aadhaar. Even after registration, if the documents are incomplete, then money will not come.

Why is e-KYC necessary?

The government has made e-KYC mandatory to prevent fraud. Farmers can complete it online or by visiting the nearest CSC center. Without this, the installment may get stuck.

Are the bank details updated or not?

Sometimes the names in Aadhaar and bank account do not match or the details are incomplete. In such cases, the fund transfer may fail, so check the information.

What are the required documents?

For e-KYC and bank linking, Aadhaar card, address proof (such as electricity bill) and a copy of bank passbook are required. Take these to the bank or CSC center.

How many farmers will get the benefit?

More than 11 crore farmers have benefited from this scheme. It is considered one of the world’s largest direct benefit transfer schemes.

Is the work related to the scheme still pending?

If you have not updated the documents till now, then there is still a chance. Get e-KYC and bank account linked before July 18, so that the money can be received on time. (All photos: Canva)
