Passport News: The Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad has increased the capacity of four Post Office Passport Seva Kendras located in Agra, Meerut, Vrindavan and Saharanpur. Now 90 passport applications will be accepted daily at these centers and 10 applications will also be taken for police clearance certificate. This will speed up the process of getting a passport and people will be able to get an appointment soon.
To reduce the time taken to get a passport, the Regional Passport Office has increased the capacity of four Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSK). Now 90 applications will be taken every day in Agra, Meerut, Vrindavan and Saharanpur, while the number of police clearance certificates has also been increased.
Regional Passport Officer Anuj Swaroop said that major improvements have been made in passport services. More applications for passport and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) will be accepted daily from May 13 at the four Post Office Passport Seva Kendras Agra, Meerut, Vrindavan and Saharanpur under the jurisdiction of Regional Passport Office Ghaziabad.
10 applications will be accepted daily for police clearance certificate
Now the daily limit of application at these post office passport service centers has been increased to 90. At the same time, 10 applications will be taken daily for police clearance certificate. He told that 45 applications for passport and five applications for PCC will be accepted daily in other post office passport service centers Achhnera, Aligarh, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Hathras, Muzaffarnagar and Noida.
Number of applications increased rapidly
The demand for passport services in cities like Agra, Meerut, Vrindavan and Saharanpur has increased rapidly in the last few years. Due to this, the capacity of POPSK has been increased. Due to limited number of application slots, citizens had to wait for several days for appointment. After increasing the capacity, appointment will be available quickly and the time of passport making process will also improve.
Apply from the right website only
Regional Passport Officer Anuj Swaroop has appealed to the people to apply for passport only on the right website. He said that the official website for application is www.passportindia.gov.in. If people come with the correct documents after applying, it will take less time for passport to be issued.
