There is a great news for crores of employees in the country. The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is going to launch a new digital platform “EPFO 3.0” to enhance the facilities of its members. With this new system, withdrawing, updating and claiming money from PF will become easier than ever.

What is EPFO 3.0?

EPFO 3.0 is a modern digital platform, which has been created for the convenience of PF account holders. Its main objective is to allow employees to do all the work related to their PF account from home without visiting any office. The most special thing about this platform is that now PF money can also be withdrawn through modern methods like ATM and UPI.

How can you withdraw PF money from ATM?

Under EPFO 3.0, account holders will get a special EPFO Withdrawal Card. This card will be exactly like a bank ATM card and will be directly linked to your PF account. You will be able to withdraw money using this card from any ATM. This facility will be available only to those members whose Universal Account Number (UAN) is linked to Aadhaar and bank account.

PF money can also be withdrawn through UPI

Now you will also be able to withdraw money from your PF account through UPI (Unified Payments Interface). Just like you use PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm, now you will be able to withdraw money instantly by linking your PF account to UPI ID. This facility will prove to be very helpful for the employees in case of emergency and they will get relief from the long documentation process.

This platform was earlier scheduled to be launched in June 2025, but it has been delayed due to technical tests. According to officials, as soon as it is fully ready, it will be implemented across the country.
