PM Jan Dhan Yojana Account Holders Will Get Insurance Cover: While bad events are happening one after the other during the Corona period, there are also some very happy news reports. The government is helping the people as much as they can at this time. Recently, the Finance Ministry has made a statement according to which the government is soon going to insure the Jan Dhan account holders. In fact, under the scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) will be linked to Jan Dhan Yojana.

Announcement on 6th Anniversary of Jan Dhan Yojana
The Finance Ministry has made this important announcement on the sixth anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. More than 40 crore people have joined the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana so far. According to a statement made by the Ministry of Finance, eligible account holders associated with Jan Dhan Yojana will be provided insurance under Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Suraksha Bima Yojana.



Insurance up to Rs 2 lakh at a premium of Rs 330
The finance ministry in its statement said that after linking the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna (PM Jan Dhan Yojna) launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), people between the age of 18 to 50 years will be able to avail life insurance up to Rs 2 lakh only at a premium of ₹ 330. But this facility will not be available to all Jan Dhan account holders. Only deserving people will be given.

If the account holder dies after joining the Jan Dhan Yojana insurance scheme, his closest dependents get a relief of Rs. 2 lakhs. The premium amount will be deducted directly from the beneficiary’s account. If you talk about the security insurance scheme, the relief amount of Rs. 2 lakh at a premium of Rs. 17 is given on the loan and an amount of Rs. 1 lakh on disability.

Jan Dhan Yojana launched at the beginning of Narendra Modi’s tenure
The Jan Dhan Yojana was launched in the early tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main objective of the scheme was to open a bank account of more and more people so that they could avail government schemes and banking facilities. The scheme was one of the first ambitious schemes of the Government. The scheme was also successful to a great extent and more than 40 crore people’s accounts were opened under the scheme.
