Now Indians will be able to renew passports in UAE in two days

Indian expatriates in the United Arab Emirates will now be able to renew their passports within just two days. The new operational process for this is going to start from August. Gulf News reported that the Indian Embassy in Dubai will be able to accept passport applications for Indian expatriates living in the UAE. Earlier each Emirate had separate verification centers.

Consul General in Dubai, Dr. Aman Puri told the newspaper that work on the passport renewal form will be started on the same day. Puri said that the process of some applications may take a long time.



He said, “These may take longer, average two weeks, if it requires police verification or any other approval from India. The Indian embassy issued more than two lakh passports here last year, the highest among all Indian embassies around the world.
