Indian Railways: Indian Railways is going to take another big step towards expanding semi-high speed train services in the country. Indian Railways has given a big gift to the passengers.
Looking at the popularity of the semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express across the country, now the Railways is going to start four new Vande Bharat trains. According to the Railway Ministry, four new Vande Bharat Express trains will be started soon, which include Bengaluru–Kochi, Firozpur Cantt–Delhi, Varanasi–Khajuraho and Lucknow–Saharanpur routes.
Rail connectivity will be strengthened
The introduction of these new trains will further strengthen rail connectivity between Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. With the launch of these services, the total number of Vande Bharat trains across the country will reach 164. The schedule for the Bengaluru–Kochi Vande Bharat Express has also been released.
Train No. 26651 Kanteerava (KSR) Bengaluru–Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express will depart Bengaluru at 5:10 am and arrive in Ernakulam at 1:50 pm. It will stop at Krishnarajapuram, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Thrissur along the way. The return train (26652) will depart Ernakulam at 2:20 pm and arrive in Bengaluru at 11 pm. This will be the third Vande Bharat train to operate in Kerala.
Firozpur Cantt–Delhi Vande Bharat Express
Total distance: 486 km, Travel time: 6 hours 40 minutes
Open six days a week (closed on Wednesdays)
Route: Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, Panipat
26462 will depart Firozpur at 7:55 am and arrive in Delhi at 2:35 pm. 26461 will depart Delhi at 4 pm and arrive in Firozpur at 10:35 am.
Varanasi–Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express
Distance: 443 km, Time: 7 hours 40 minutes
Stoppages: Vindhyachal, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chitrakoot Dham, Banda, Mahoba
26422 departs Varanasi at 5:25 am and arrives in Khajuraho at 1:10 pm. 26421 departs Khajuraho at 3:20 pm and arrives in Varanasi at 11 pm.
Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express
Distance: 534 km, Time: 7 hours 45 minutes
Stoppages: Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, Roorkee
26504 will depart Lucknow at 5:00 AM and arrive in Saharanpur at 12:45 PM. 26503 will depart Saharanpur at 3:00 PM and arrive in Lucknow at 11:00 PM. These new trains will not only make inter-state travel faster and more comfortable, but will also accelerate Indian Railways’ modernization drive.
