New Vande Bharat Train: A new Vande Bharat rake with 16 coaches has arrived at Gorakhpur Junction which will run on the Gorakhpur-Ayodhya-Lucknow-Prayagraj route. The earlier rake has a technical fault. The eight coach Vande Bharat will now run on the Gorakhpur-Patna route. Soon the sleeper Vande Bharat will also start from Gorakhpur to Delhi.
Another new semi high speed train Vande Bharat’s rake with 16 coaches reached Gorakhpur Junction on Thursday night. On Friday it will go to the washing pit for repair and cleaning. Vande Bharat train of Gorakhpur-Ayodhya-Lucknow-Prayagraj route will be run with this new equipped rake.
The eight-coach Vande Bharat train already running on the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj route will be run on the Gorakhpur-Patna route. The railway administration has intensified its preparations for the operation of Vande Bharat. The journey of the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will become easier.
However, a 16 coach Vande Bharat rake is already standing at Gorakhpur Junction for the Gorakhpur-Ayodhya-Lucknow-Prayagraj route. But, there is some technical fault in the 16 coach rake already standing there. Due to this, this rake will be returned.
Currently, both the rakes of Vande Bharat with 16 coaches are standing in the yard. Experts say that the operation of the new Vande Bharat rake that has reached Gorakhpur will be ensured only after its preliminary inspection. However, the date from which the train will run has not been decided yet. But first the new Vande Bharat rake will be run on the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj route.
After the eight-coach rake running on the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj route becomes empty, it will be operated on the Gorakhpur-Patna route. Preparations to run the Vande Bharat train on the Gorakhpur-Patna route have also gained momentum. This train is to be run on the Gorakhpur-Bettiah-Narkatiyaganj-Muzaffarpur-Patna railway line. This train will leave from Gorakhpur at 4 am and return by 9:30 pm. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who visited Gorakhpur and Bettiah, had announced running a new Vande Bharat train on Gorakhpur-Patna.
Vande Bharat has 8 and 16 coaches, the proposal is for 7 coaches
The fully air-conditioned semi-high speed train manufactured with indigenous technology has eight and 16 coaches. Apart from the air-conditioned chair car, sleeper Vande Bharat is also being manufactured. On July 7, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat with eight coaches from Gorakhpur Junction. Initially, this train used to run to Lucknow via Ayodhya.
As the demand of passengers increased, its route was extended till Prayagraj. In the coming days, only Vande Bharat trains will run on almost all major routes of North Eastern Railway including the headquarters Gorakhpur. Apart from Sleeper Vande Bharat between Gorakhpur to Delhi and Agra, there is a proposal to run a total of 17 trains including seven Vande Bharat and two Amrut Bharat including Prayagraj via Gorakhpur to Varanasi. There is a plan to operate pink coloured Sleeper Vande Bharat between Gorakhpur and Delhi.
