When these people arrived to take possession of the land, it was found that the said land was not there and the owners of the existing farm showed them the records. On 28 February, Mithilesh filed a report of forgery, cheating and fraud against Manu alias Bhanu, Harikrishna Srivastava and Manju Yadav at the Atrauli police station.

The police started investigating the matter and sought a full report from the concerned accountant. According to Inspector-in-charge Santosh Tiwari, Lekhpal’s report revealed that the land (based on measles and gata numbers) has been banamaed on which the Gomti River flows.

Some land is adjacent to Gomti and cannot even be sold. Inspector in-charge said that Harikrishna Srivastava has been arrested after confirmation of forgery and forgery. Other accused are also being searched.
