New labor code is a big gift for IT employees, with salaries arriving by the 7th of every month.

The new labor codes include special provisions to protect women employees working night shifts. They also implement the principle of “equal pay for equal work.” This means there will be no difference in the salaries of men and women.

IT employees have received a major gift from the new labor code. Their salaries will be credited to their bank accounts by the 7th of every month. This rule also applies to employees of IT-enabled services. The government implemented four new labor codes on November 21st. This is being seen as a major reform of workforce regulations.

New labor codes will increase the power of workers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted about the new labor codes on the social media platform X. It said, “Today, our government implemented four new labor codes. This is one of the biggest and most progressive labor-based reforms since independence. It empowers our workers. It will help simplify compliance and promote ease of doing business.”

New labour codes will replace old laws

The four new labor codes implemented by the government include the Code on Wages (2019), the Industrial Relations Code (2020), and the Code on Social Security and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSHWC) Code (2020). These codes replace 29 central labor laws previously in effect by the central government. They include several new provisions that benefit workers.

The rule of equal pay for equal work applies

The new labor codes include special provisions to protect women employees working night shifts. They also implement the principle of “equal pay for equal work.” This means there will be no pay disparity between men and women. This will increase women’s participation in the workforce.

Expeditious resolution of complaints of harassment and discrimination

The new labor code also includes provisions for speedy resolution of complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and wages. Mandatory fixed-term employment and appointment letters will guarantee social security for workers. The government has stated that with the implementation of the new labor codes, labor laws in India have reached global standards.

Will help in making India a developed country by 2047

Union Minister of Labor and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya also posted about the new labor codes on the social media platform X. In it, he highlighted its many benefits. He said that this will facilitate the government’s goal of making India a developed country by 2047.
