New Airports: Very big and important news has come on Tuesday for crores of people of Bihar. Officials said that 6 more cities of Bihar will get air connectivity. On Tuesday, the state cabinet gave its approval to sign an agreement with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in this matter. He said that under the Center’s regional connectivity scheme ‘UDAN’, new airports will be developed in Madhubani, Birpur in Supaul, Munger, Valmiki Nagar in Bettiah, Muzaffarpur and Saharsa. He said that the cabinet headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given its approval for signing the MoU between the state aviation directorate and AAI for the development of the airport.
5 star hotels will be built in Patna

He said the cabinet also approved the issuance of Letter of Award (LoA) to Kumar Infratrade Enterprises Ltd for the construction of a 5-star hotel near Income Tax Golambar in Patna. “The hotel will be developed on public-private partnership (PPP) mode and the land will be given on a 90-year lease. The bidding process is also being finalised for the construction of two more 5-star hotels near Bankipur bus stand and R Golambar in Patna,” he said.
Cabinet fixes MSP for gram, mustard and lentils
Siddhartha said the cabinet also fixed the minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 5650 for gram, Rs 5950 for mustard and Rs 6700 for lentils. It was also decided that the contract of 1717 retired army personnel recruited in the Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) will be extended till 2025-26. The cabinet also approved guidelines for the recruitment of clerks and librarians in government schools and libraries. “Under the new rules, 50 per cent of the clerical posts in the education department will now be filled through compassionate appointment, while the remaining 50 per cent will be filled through direct recruitment,” the official said.
