1. Visit the UIDAI website
First of all you have to go to https://uidai.gov.in. There you will find the option of “Book an Appointment” in the “My Aadhaar” section. Select it.
2. Select the service center and city
Now you have to select your city and the nearest Aadhaar service center. After that select the option of “New Aadhaar”.
3. Fill the Aadhaar form
You will be asked for basic information like name, date of birth, address, mobile number. An OTP will come on the mobile, which will verify your information.
4. Provide information about the required document
You will have to fill in the information of documents related to identity, address and date of birth. You will have to take these documents in physical form on the day of appointment.
5. Select date and time
Now you can book a date and time slot as per your convenience. On this day, you will have to go to the Aadhaar center and give biometric details.
What will happen at the center?
You will have to go through the biometric process. There will be some special processes in this:
- Your photo will be taken.
- Fingerprints will be taken.
- Eyes (iris) will be scanned.
- Documents will be verified.
After this, you will be given an enrollment slip. It has a number, by which you can check the status online.
When will you get the Aadhaar card?
