Henley, which gives information about the status of passports of countries around the world, has released its new ranking. India has registered a significant jump in the Henley Passport Index 2025. India has reached 76th position with visa-free access to 58 destinations. India’s passport was earlier ranked 80th in this list. In this way, India has jumped four places. Visa-free entry is being given in 58 countries on Indian passport.
India’s passport has jumped, while the status of US passport has declined. US passport has come to 10th place jointly with Iceland and Lithuania. This is the lowest ranking of America in two decades. Visa-free mobility of American citizens has seen a decrease. At the same time, the global reach of Indians has increased.
Singapore on top
Singapore has the most powerful passport in the world. Globally, Singapore tops the ranking, providing visa-free access to 193 destinations. Japan and South Korea are followed by Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain in third place with 189 destinations.
Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Norway, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Portugal rank fourth on the list with 188 destinations. Switzerland, New Zealand and Greece come fifth with 187 destinations.
