New Delhi Union Consumer and Food Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has launched the BIS App to check the veracity of any goods related complaint, license, registration and hallmark. With the help of this app, consumers can check their gold sitting at home. This app will tell you how much gold is pure and how much is not. With the launch of this app, it was also announced that if the hallmark number or registration of any goods or gold is found to be incorrect, then the customer can also complain immediately through this app.

BIS App will be very useful for customers

The BIS App has been launched to test the authenticity of any item. In such a situation, this app will prove very useful for the users and with the help of this, they will be able to check the authenticity of the hallmarked product only. Especially the authenticity of gold is quite important. Because only the jeweler can tell how good the gold is or not, but instead of relying only on the jeweler, now you will be able to check your own gold using the BIS App itself.



Ramvilas Paswan said to the BIS App that BIS has issued around 37,000 standards. In which the number of licenses is expected to boom due to the issuance of quality control orders. Paswan has launched three portals of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on standardization, conformance assessment and training, which consumers and stakeholders can login through www.manakonline.in. Explain that BIS is the national standard setting the standard body in the country. So far, it has set 20,866 standards and mandatory standards for 358 products. The ISI mark is a standard-compliant mark for industrial products in India since 1955. Hallmark is the quality certification for gold jewelery.

BIS App available for free downloading



The BIS App is currently launched for the Android platform and is available for free downloading on the Google play store. This app can be used in both Hindi and English languages. The size of this app is 13M and can be used on all platforms from Android 5.0 or above. With the launch, it has been downloaded more than 10,000 times.
