Mission Pani: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu praised Network18’s special campaign to save water

Network18 is running a big campaign to save water, under which the country is taking water pledge today.

News18 India (Network18) campaign to save water has been appreciated by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, on the occasion, he said that everyone has to become a water warrior. It is important to save every drop of water. Apart from these, Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat pledged to save the people water.

Network18 is running a big campaign to save water, under which the country is taking water pledge today. Water warriors are being sworn in throughout the country in this national campaign. Chief Ministers of several states including Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat are participating in this program. Mission Akshay Kumar, Ambassador of Mission Pani Abhiyan and music composer AR Rahman are also participating in the event. In this, water warriors across the country are taking an oath to save water.



Water pledge day (19 November) is being celebrated on World Toilet Day. This is because this day will become a watermark in our national campaign for cleanliness and water conservation. In this program, President M Venkaiah Naidu, Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will explain the relevance of the cause of mission water. He along with the Chief Ministers of several states will create an administrative framework to achieve the goal of water conservation and sanitation in the country.

Vice President said that this is not just the work of the government, everyone has to come forward

Vice President Naidu said that we have to come forward together. We have to work on ways to save water in homes and offices. Rain harvesting has to be emphasized. You should fulfill your responsibilities towards the country and society. Do not let water be wasted.

He further said that this work is not only for the government. We have to come collectively. During this, the Vice President gave the example of Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, how he revived the Kalyani river.

Venkaiah Naidu said that with the increasing demand for water, we have to insist on its proper management. We also have to work on ground water level. The work of making every pond and river safe will have to be started and they will have to be protected from plastic.
