LIVE CoronaVirus Bihar Update: 4598 patients with 30 deaths, rain and sewer water entered Kovid Hospital in Patna

Patna, Jagran team. LIVE CoronaVirus Bihar News Update: In Bihar, the number of coronaVirus infections has reached 4598, but it is a matter of relief that about half of them are now cured. While 30 have died. The special thing is that in the case of infection, Khagadiya has now reached the top leaving Patna behind. Meanwhile, rain and sewer water entered Patna’s Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), the state’s largest corona or covid hospital (COVID Hospital). In the hospital, wards of Corona-infected people also suffered from water logging.

146 cases found on Friday

Talking about the statistics, till Friday night a total of 4598 cases were found in the state, out of which 2233 people were cured. As of late night the number of active cases in the state was 2335. On Friday, 146 new cases of corona were found.



In case of infection, the top

Khagadia is now on top in terms of infection. Before this, Patna was the most infected. According to the information given by the Health Department, the total number of infected people in Khagadiya had reached 273 by Friday night. Whereas, the number of infected people in Patna is 268.

30 patients have died so far

The death toll from Corona is 30. According to the health department, the last notice of death was received from Araria on Friday.

Water logging at the Corona Hospital in Patna



The state has been raining since last Thursday due to low air pressure. Due to this, rain and drain water entered the Kovid Hospital (NMCH) in Patna on Friday. Immediate action was taken to remove water from the hospital premises and wards, but Corona patients suffered from water logging. During this time, stray dogs were also seen roaming inside the hospital.

Patients are being shifted to other wards

On Friday, Superintendent Dr. Nirmal Kumar Sinha held a meeting with several Heads of Departments and Doctors to deal with the situation arising due to water logging inside the Kovid Hospital (NMCH). In the meeting, discussions were held to shift five patients admitted to the Medicine ICU and 12 corona infected patients admitted to the ward. The hospital manager said that it was finally agreed to shift patients to surgical ICU and other wards. Patients will be shifted in the morning as soon as they are approved.
