The minister said that CCTV cameras will be installed in liquor shops and 24-hour monitoring will be done from the headquarters. Instructions have also been given to take strict action against illegal sale of liquor and manufacture, stock, transportation and sale of narcotics. Let us tell you that there was a liquor scam of Rs 3200 crore in the previous government.

Excise Minister Lakhanlal Devangan said that online payment should be implemented in liquor shops. 100 percent payment in liquor shops should be done through online medium. This will prevent any irregularities. Excise Minister Lakhanlal Devangan also said that strict vigil should be kept on illegal sale and consumption of liquor in hotels, dhabas and farm houses.

The minister has also instructed the officials to take immediate action on liquor parties in farm houses. During this, the minister also took information about the arrangement of liquor shops, license system, marketing corporation and bar-club operation. A presentation on achieving the revenue target was also presented in the meeting.

Shops will be monitored through CCTV

Excise Minister Devangan said that liquor shops will be monitored 24 hours a day from the headquarters by installing CCTV cameras. He also stressed on increasing vigilance at excise check posts located on interstate borders and running special campaigns. The Excise Minister instructed to pay special attention to prevent illegal sale and consumption of liquor in hotels, dhabas and farmhouses. He also instructed to take action against liquor parties held in farmhouses. Let us tell you that liquor consumption is very high in Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh government itself is operating the liquor shops.
