Step-by-step process

  • Save LIC’s WhatsApp number 8976862090.
  • Open your WhatsApp and send “Hi” to LIC’s number.
  • After this LIC will send you a list of options, from which choose 1 option for premium payment.
  • Enter your policy number and other required details.
  • Select the payment option and pay through your preferred mode (like credit card, debit card, or net banking).
  • After making the payment you will receive a receipt, which you can keep for future reference.
  • Note: This facility is available to those policyholders who have registered their policy on LIC website.

More than 2.2 crore registered policyholders

According to the information given by LIC, policy holders will be able to view their premium through WhatsApp number 8976862090. Then they will be able to pay it directly through UPI, net banking, debit or credit card. The entire process—from policy identification to payment and receipt—is completed within the WhatsApp bot.
