IBM actively pushing AI offerings

During the annual Think conference this month, the company introduced a suite of new solutions aimed at helping enterprises develop and operate their own AI-powered agents. These tools are designed to integrate easily with leading platforms from OpenAI, Amazon and Microsoft. Data from layoff platform Layoffs.fyi shows that more than 61,220 tech employees have been laid off so far in the year 2025, affecting employees of 130 different companies.
Microsoft and Google have already given a shock
Microsoft announced its decision to cut 6,000 jobs on May 13. This is the biggest round of layoffs since 2023. This layoff is 3 percent of the 228,000 employees worldwide. Google has started another layoff in the series of layoffs earlier this year. In April, the company reduced several hundred positions in its platform and devices division.
