Bima Sugam website: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has launched the Bima Sugam portal. IRDAI aims to revolutionize the insurance sector with this website. This website will connect insurance companies and policyholders and also help resolve user issues.

Bima Sugam Website: India’s insurance regulatory body, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), has launched the Bima Sugam portal. This is being considered as the first step towards creating the first Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for the insurance sector in the country. This platform has been created for all the needs of life, general and health insurance. It was launched in Hyderabad by Ajay Seth, Chairman of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

The government’s vision is to ensure that every citizen in the country has insurance coverage by 2047. This mission is linked to “Insurance for All by 2047” and “Developed India 2047.” Industry CEOs, IRDAI officials, and the Bima Sugam leadership team were present at the website launch.

Ajay Seth described “Bima Sugam” as a vital part of India’s digital insurance infrastructure. He said the platform will empower policyholders and enhance transparency and fairness.

Know what is Bima Sugam Portal

The Bima Sugam portal is a platform where customers can compare insurance products from various companies and purchase the products that best suit their needs. On this platform, users will be able to view and purchase life, health, and general insurance policies from various companies. Its goal is to make the entire insurance journey easy and paperless. Users will also have the opportunity to compare premiums on this platform.

The platform will digitalize the entire process, from claim settlement to renewal. Customers will be able to manage their insurance by simply entering their policy number. This will eliminate hassles and time-consuming claims and increase transparency. The platform provides a one-stop solution for users, as well as insurance companies and agents.

Will help in building a developed India by 2047

BSIF MD and CEO Prasun Sikdar said that the platform will be a reliable digital interface for the industry and customers. It will be implemented in phases. Market facilities and transactions will begin once insurance companies and partners are integrated.

Officials stated that the Insurance Sugam plan will focus on security, regulatory compliance, and scalability. It will be designed to handle a growing number of users and large-scale transactions. This platform will help make insurance accessible to all in the country and contribute to the goal of making the country a developed nation by 2047.
